24/7 Counseling Services - Student Assistance Program
Any enrolled SCC student can receive help for personal, professional, or school concerns through the Student Assistance Program (SAP). Students will be connected to a professional clinician from the first phone call.
Services are free, confidential, and available 24/7. We offer up to 3 sessions per issue for students and permanent household family members. Counseling is available by phone, virtually, or in person.

Explore local and national resources.Suicide Prevention Training
The QPR one-hour Gatekeeper Training teaches you how to better recognize signs of suicide and support people in crisis. The training will cover the following topics: 
- How to Question, Persuade and Refer someone who may be suicidal 
- How to get help for yourself or learn more about preventing suicide 
- The common causes of suicidal behavior 
- The warning signs of suicide 
- How to get help for someone in crisis

Online screening tools are not diagnostic instruments. You are encouraged to share your results with a physician or healthcare provider.
